Slavonian food is, some would say, rich and spicy, and Slavonians will add: “Those who work hard, who are slaves of the land, must eat well”. A closed circle – that is what people and nature are here. Water goes through the roots of massive oak trees, from which fall the nutritious acorns, which are food for the pigs. A special and now protected species of black pigs are the foundation of our famous “Kulen”. Its emergence is a real art and science – today we witness the production of superior “Kulen”, sausages, “Švargl”, greaves – everything that fills our backyards with rich aroma in winter months.
